Google does not employ Iranians? Yes, they don’t (due to sanctions). If an Iranian doesn’t have dual citizenship or nationality, Google rejects him/her. Read an Iranian expert story with Iranian passport in Malaysia.
In 2014, I was employed for Google project in Malaysia. Google had outsourced its project to SELLBYTEL Group, – a registered company in Malaysia named SELLBYTEL SERVICES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. (976878-T) – and SELLBYTEL employed me after being successful in over 3 interviews, 1 panel interview and a technical assessment test.
Then my professional visa was issued and I was officially having work permit by Malaysian government to work on Google Project being employed by SELLBYTEL. However, after a week, apparently as SELLBYTEL in Malaysia told me, Google cannot employ Iranian nationality and they ask me if I have another nationality, which I said no. They told me due to American sanction Google cannot employ Iranians with Iranian passport. I asked SELLBYTEL to give me an official letter saying what they exactly told me in person but they refuse to give a written documents.
